Harmonee
Careers

Build the AI that doesn't leave the building.

Harmonee builds on-premise AI infrastructure for institutions that cannot move their data to the cloud. The systems live inside their walls, which means the people who build them install them, tune them, and watch them run.

Klamath Falls, Oregon

A polytechnic university, a community college, and a company shipping production AI, inside ten minutes of each other.

That is not a recruiting convenience. It is why a student here can spend a term on a real deployment instead of a simulated one, and why an engineer here is never far from the system they own.

Internships, actively recruiting

Two engineering tracks, open continuously.

These are the disciplines where a student gets real production work rather than a side project. Engineering roles here are filled two ways: an internship that converts, or a direct hire. Both paths are open, and the internship is not a lesser one.

Forward Deployment Engineering

In the field, inside customer walls

Units get installed, integrated, and tuned inside the customer's own building. This is the discipline where the product meets the institution, and it is the fastest way to understand what Harmonee actually does.

  • Installation, imaging, and integration on site
  • Workflow configuration against a customer's real systems
  • Field testing and troubleshooting in production
  • Carrying what the field teaches back to research

Recruiting

Research and Development Engineering

The engine itself

ARIA routing, the ALYGNMENT signal pipeline, the Living Context Model, and the local inference that lets all of it run with no outbound path. Deep work on a system that has to be correct because it cannot phone home.

  • Model routing, retrieval, and local inference
  • Signal pipeline and context modeling
  • Performance and correctness on constrained hardware
  • Research that ships rather than research that publishes
How the student pathway works

Student and early-career placements begin with a 90-day foundation period working alongside the engineering team on real deployments. Harmonee coordinates academic credit with your institution where your program allows it. Compensation begins on successful completion and full onboarding, not during the foundation period itself.

We would rather tell you this up front than have it come up later. If it is a barrier, say so when you apply and we will talk about it.

Specialties

Not open, but real.

These are disciplines the work genuinely touches, but they are not open positions today. They come up as deployments scale. If one of them is obviously you, introduce yourself now rather than waiting for a posting.

How hiring works

Two phases, and you always know who you are talking to.

Growth and Communications runs the public-facing side of recruitment and qualifies every applicant. Once you are qualified, you move to the operations side of Harmonee for the technical phase.

01Growth and Communications

Getting to know you

Every application lands with Growth and Communications. They run the public-facing side of recruitment and they are who you will be talking to first.

  • Review of your application, resume, and materials
  • Media outreach, campus coordination, and public-facing recruitment
  • Due diligence and background
  • A tour of the building, and a real look at the work
  • Qualification before anything moves forward
02Harmonee Operations

The technical phase

Once you are qualified, you move to the operations side of Harmonee for the technical phase, where the conversation shifts to the work itself and to what you will learn here.

  • Technical interviews with the engineering team
  • Technical advancement and education
  • Onboarding into how Harmonee actually operates

The decision

Hiring and internship decisions are made by the Harmonee team and executive board. That is the final call, and it covers both direct hires and internship placements.

Where the work happens

Four divisions.

Each is led by the person who owns the practice rather than by a layer of management, and each sits close enough to customers that you will meet them.

01

Research and Development Engineering

The engine work: ARIA routing, the ALYGNMENT signal pipeline, the Living Context Model, and the local inference that lets all of it run with no outbound path.

02

Forward Deployment Engineering

Getting units installed, integrated and running inside a customer's own walls. Implementation, workflow configuration, systems integration, field testing, and carrying what you learn back to research.

03

Systems and Infrastructure

The hardware platform, provisioning and imaging, air-gapped operation, and the internal systems the team runs on.

04

Growth and Communications

The company's outward voice. Brand, communications, content, and the customer stories that carry the work outside the building. Also the front door of recruitment.

Meet the people in them

Not seeing your seat?

The team is small and growing, and the roles we post trail the roles we need. If you are obviously strong and the listing does not exist yet, apply anyway and tell us what you would own.

Apply

Tell us who you are.

One application for full-time roles, internships, and general interest. Students welcome. Attach a resume if you have one, or just send a note and a link. Growth and Communications reviews every submission and connects you with the right team from there.

Prefer email? info@harmonee.ai. We read every application.
